This solution can also be used to illuminate corridors, passage areas, and other cases when you need to turn on the light for a person to pass through and turn it off behind him.
The SmartStaitway SL-281X ARGB Wi-Fi controller is made in a miniature case made of anodized aluminum profile AL-15 for surface mounting or in an option for built-in mounting in a groove in the AL-16 case. The dimensions are only 135 mm x 22 mm x 10 mm. The wireless laser sensor for the other end of your staircase or corridor is made in the same case and automatically connects to the head module via a 2.4 GHz radio channel. providing accurate response when the distance to the obstacle in front of the sensor decreases below the response threshold you set. The dimensions of the slave sensor module are 95x22x10 mm for the surface-mounted version and 105x22x10 mm for the flush-mounted version. You can set the response distance of the laser sensors for the main and slave modules individually for each sensor. The range can be from 0 to 150 cm. Also, a light level sensor is already installed inside the slave module, which you can turn on or off. The light sensor's operating algorithm provides for "Day/Night" modes, when the lighting will turn on when the light level is below the threshold you set, and if the light is higher, the light will not turn on. The light sensor's hysteresis prevents accidental blocking during short-term exposures and transient light levels. An adaptive brightness mode is provided, when this mode is activated, the brightness of the lighting will change depending on the overall illumination level at the current moment in time within the limits you set for complete darkness and the brightness level set for the operating and standby modes. Scaling the brightness from dimmed in the dark to maximum in bright light, which will protect your eyes from blinding in the dark and create beautiful bright effects in a bright room. Adaptive brightness, as well as the use of the Day / Night modes, can be deactivated at your request in the settings. Controller settings are carried out via a Wi-Fi connection through a built-in WEB server. The controller has 5 switching modes and 10 standby modes. But we are constantly working on the software and your controller may already have more modes.
To install LED strips, you can use the same aluminum profile for LED strips AL-15 or mortise AL-16 and then the controllers will look
like a logical continuation. The controller is compatible with most addressable LED strips, such as:

- WS2812,
- WS2812B,
- WS2813,
- WS2815,
- SK6812,
- NEOPIXEL
or similar. The controller is not compatible with APA102 strips and those with a similar protocol.
